"I've got..."

Kim knew as well as anyone else the pain she would have to endure to alleviate the condition of her spine on a grand scale. On a smaller scale, she is bouting with small moments of extreme pain to simply roll on to her side. She needs help to do this...she needs to do this. Each movement invites blood flow to areas that have not had it.

These are essential to opening those areas to the healing nutrients her blood carries. It comes at a price...a price that diminishes infinitessmally each time. The good news is that it is not an infinite journey...it is finite...it just seems like the price she pays for these movements will be there forever when coupled with the monotony of the hospital room, including the sounds of the ventilation and the of the hallway.

Kim's job is to breathe in to the pain and be thankful for it...to make it the vehicle by which her healing will occur. There is some more good news...tonight, after her painful shift in the bed, she said, "I've got ___." You fill in the blank.

Sweet Kim,
You have my prayers. I was awake for awhile last night and found myself praying for you. I know you're in the most challenging part of this journey so far. It WILL get better. "Please, Jesus give my friend your supernatural strength and encouragement. Help her see a glimpse of her healthy future. She is your precious daughter. Thank you."
Kim,this is one of my devotionals. I pray it encourages you.
When a friend told Jesus of the illness of Lazarus he said, "Lord, the one you love is sick."He doesn't base his appeal on the imperfect love of the one in need, but on the perfect love of the Savior. He doesn't say, "The one who loves you is sick." the power of the prayer in other words, does not depend on the one who makes the prayer, but on the one who hears the prayer.
We can and must repeat the phrase in manifold ways. "The one you love is tired, sad, hungry, lonely fearful, depressed." The words of the prayer vary but the response never changes. The Savior hears the prayer. He silences heaven so he won't miss a word. He hears the prayer."
I'm praying friend.

Love you BIG!

Carter
